Milton Keynes-based theatre company Dancing Brick perform Spinning, a moving and humorous tale about a young woman who sees a man at a traffic light. Before they have the chance to speak the lights turn green and he is gone. Enraptured, she pedals on and on in earnest search, travelling over mountains and under seas, up to the moon and back down to earth until at last, and having cycled around the world, she arrives back where she started. Created in collaboration with the illustrator Serge Seidlitz, Spinning is a live cartoon - a boldly visual, highly inventive trompe loeil that uses whirring mechanics, contemporary puppetry and striking illustrations to tell this bitter-sweet love story.

"Stay at home, pop a cork, this is the best thing to come out of Iceland since Bjork" - I made this short film for the folks at Offset in Dublin this week as I couldn't be there in person due to the massive cloud of Volcanic ash - (or was it a swarm of bees ?) This weekend, I will be in Birmingham at the Bullring for the last few days of a week long 'draw-a-thon' which fellow Debut artists, Harry Malt, Jon Burgerman and Celyn have been doing all week. The live drawing project has been organised to help raise money for a new hybrid theatre in the hospital, which will allow different procedures to be carried out on the same patient, in the same room, at the same time. Meaning more patients/children can be treated. With some of the money raised also being used to increase the number of intensive care unit beds available in the hospital from the current 20 to 31. Which in turn will reduce the need to send children to other hospitals. If you cant make it along you can donate online here

Welcome to my new site. It's quite minimal at the moment. My old website took ages to evolve into the beast it eventually became, but i think it needed a fresh approach - as it grew, it become ever more complicated to keep up to date. I hope to retain some of the qualities of the old site here, but it will be an evolution - the site has been designed to be updated frequently and I'll be using this space as a kind of online sketchbook and a portfolio, posting news about events & projects. Alot of my illustration work tends to be quite detailed and i like creating images that give you something new everytime you look at them, I've tried to reflect that idea in the design of this site, so it will hopefully be a place where you can discover something new everytime you come back. Now i'd better start putting some images up!
